The eleventh Youth's English Cross-Country Championship took place at Warwick Racecourse.
The early leader in the race was H Lydiatte (Hercules AC), however, Midland champion John Parker (Westbury Harriers) eventually won the race by 11 seconds from Willie Goodwin (Bellahouston Harriers) with Derek Haith (Thames Valley Harriers) third.
The team title was won by Liverpool Harriers who beat local rivals Wirral AC by 26 points with Shaftesbury Harriers third.
