Sennelleys Park, Birmingham on Saturday 18/02/1989 (Girls)

Senneleys Park in Bartley Green, Birmingham hosted the Girl's National Cross-Country Championships. The 200-acre park contains large expanses of short mown grass and woodland and is criss crossed by three streams. Provincial Insurance Limited sponsored the event.

Angie Foster (Morpeth Harriers) went into an early lead and was never headed, Nicky Payne (Andover AC) took runners up spot with Lisa White (Exeter Harriers) third.

Foster made it double gold as she led her club to team glory with a slim 7 point victory over Bolton United Harriers with Bedford & County AC third.
