Niamh Brown (AFD) and Harriet Knowles-Jones (Warrington AC) battle in the Junior Women's race

Knowles-Jones became the first junior lady to win the individual event three times and told Athletics Weekly: "It's a great way to end my junior career. It was a bit of shock when I realised we'd gone off course and I had a chat with Niamh and it worked out okay. I really pushed that second lap and felt strong."

In the team race fourth placer Francesca Brint led Sale Harriers to the win, Brint was assisted by Juliet Down (11th) and Claudia Cowan (16th). Sale beat Aldershot, Farnham & District AC by 28 points and bronze medals went to Blackheath & Bromley Harriers AC.
