The second Junior Women's National Cross-Country Championships took place at Chase Side, Southgate, Middlesex. 15 teams and seven individuals participated and over 120 finished the race.


Miss L. Smith (London Olympiades AC) won over a two mile course in 15m. 53 4-5s. Miss C. Furneaux (Mitcham A.C.) was second in 16m. 18s., and Miss R. Bruty (Ilford) third in 16m. 21s.


The London Olympiades won the team title with four representatives in the first eleven home, they mustered 28 points, whilst Sheffield United Harriers and Civil Service WAC were second and third with 46 and 47 points respectively.
