The thirteenth Junior Women's National Cross-Country Championship took place at Walmley, Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham over a course of 21/2 miles. Zoe White (Birchfield Harriers) beat the favourite Joan Taylor (Dudley Harriers) in a close finish. Zoe White picked up double gold as her club won the team title by 28 points from the champions for the previous two years Birmingham Atalanta ladies. Dudley Harriers & AC were third team. 75 runners started the race.
