The fourth Youth's Cross-Country Championships took place over a 3-mile course at Bromford Bridge Racecourse in Birmingham. The course consisted of two small laps and one large lap. Youths aged over 16 and under 18 on the day of the race were eligible to run. J. Price, of East Cheshire Harriers comfortably from E Brown (Mitcham AC) with J T Musgrove (Wallsend Harriers) third.
The Sheffield Challenge trophy went to Thames Valley Harriers in the team race with a 58 point victory, Liverpool H. & A.C. just got the better of Lincoln Wellington AC as runners-up.
