Parliament Hill Fields in London hosted the twentieth Youth's English Cross-Country Championships. The course was one lap of three miles and started by the lido and finished by the athletic ground.
David Atkin (Airedale Harriers) won the race by 30 seconds from Mike Tagg (Norfolk Gazelles). Colin Moxsom (Woodford Green AC) took home a bronze medal.

Mike Tagg finishes well ahead of the field in second place in the Youths
Sale Harriers romped to victory in the team race beating Notts AC by 127 points, third place went to Derby & County AC.
