Witton Park, Blackburn on Saturday 28/02/1970 (Junior Girls)

Witton Park in Blackburn, Lancashire hosted the Junior Girl's National Cross-Country Championships.

First to show were Lesley Cobden (Selsonia), Christine Boxer (AFD) and Linda Salmon Ryde Harriers), after ¾ mile they were joined by Mary Stewart (Birchfield Harriers). Mary Stewart overcame the challenge from the other three to win by 50 metres from Boxer with Salmon third.

Bathgate AC edged Westbury Harriers by just three points for the team prize with Thurrock Harriers third.
