The Minor Girl's National Cross-Country Championships were held at the Marl Pits Stadium, Rawtenstall in Lancashire. Rossendale AC marked out the course and the route was described as tough and contained several steep hills.
Fiona McKenzie (Pitreavie AC) won the individual race by 25 seconds, Mandy Johnson (Sale Harriers) grabbed second place, while Kerry Robinson also Pitreavie third.
Pitreavie AC easily won the team race finishing four in thirteen to win by over a hundred points from Sale Harriers with Warrington AC third.
