The Junior Girls' National Cross-Country took place at Witton Park in Blackburn, Lancashire.
Ann Pattinson (City of Stoke-on-Trent AC) beat Pauline Clark, winner of the previous year's girls event, by seven seconds in the individual race with Sandra Arthurton (Leeds City AC) third.
Team honours went to Sale Harriers who beat City of Stoke-on-Trent AC by 93 points, third place went to Epsom & Ewell Harriers.
