The Junior Girl's National Cross-Country Championships took place at Carlisle Racecourse.
Jacqui Beasley (Berry Hill Mansfield AC) appeared to be fading after being involved early on in the race, but Beasley managed to dig deep and find enough to overcome her rivals for a seven second win. Runner-up was Louise Smith (Morpeth Harriers) with Tracey Gleed (Borough of Hounslow AC) third.
In the team event Andover AC, led By Helen Appleby, beat Leeds City AC by seven points with Borough of Hounslow AC picking up bronze.
