The Junior Girl's National Cross-Country Championships took place at Warwick Racecourse.

Northern champion Wendy Wright (Derby & County AC) led from gun to tape to take the individual title. Lisa Reilly (Morpeth Harriers) took runner-up spot with Sue Jordan (Luton United Harriers) third.

Bristol Athletic Club won team honours with a 12 point victory over Victoria Park Harriers with Medway AC third.
