The Girl's National Cross-Country Championships took place at Knebworth Park, Knebworth in Hertfordshire. The race was sponsored by Provincial Insurance Limited.
Angela Davies (Mid Hants AC) moved clear of her rivals to win by just two seconds from Julie Heathcote (Hallamshire Harriers) with Lucy Field (Halesowen A and CC) a close third.
