Arrowe Park, Birkenhead on Saturday 16/02/1985 (Junior Girls)

Arrowe Park, Birkenhead, Wirral hosted the Junior Girl's National Cross-Country Championships. The race was sponsored by Provincial Insurance Limited and was 3,500m in length.

After halfway, Northern champion Mandy Holmes (Liverpool Harriers), Susan Parker (Warrington AC) and Nicola Watts (Swindon AC) led from the chasing pack. The trio weren't caught and Holmes edged by Watts with a strong finish to win by two seconds with Parker six seconds further back in third.

In the team race Leicester Coritanian AC beat Warrington AC by 48 points with Liverpool Harriers third.
