Roundhay Park, Leeds on Saturday 13/02/1988 (Junior Girls)

The Junior Girl's National Cross-Country Championships took place at Roundhay Park in Leeds. Provincial Insurance Limited sponsored the event. Leeds City AC assisted with organising the event.

Charlotte Mayock (Rockingham AC) edged Paula Radcliffe (Bedford & County AC) by two seconds to take individual honours. Third spot went to Claire Holdcroft (City of Stoke-on-Trent AC).

Consolation for Radcliffe came in the team race when Bedford & County AC won the set of gold medals ahead of City of Stoke AC with Liverpool Harriers third.
