The Royal Masonic School for Girls in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire was the venue for the 1990 Junior Girl's National Cross-Country Championships sponsored by Provincial Insurance Limited. The course was 3,930 metres.


Southern champion Jeina Mitchell (Hercules-Wimbledon AC) recovered from a fall to take the individual title. Fast finishing Angie Foster (Morpeth Harriers), who also fell after half a mile, relegated Karen Chilver (Hercules-Wimbledon AC) to third place with a strong finish.


Team honours went to Morpeth Harriers as they easily beat Sale Harriers with City of Stoke-on-Trent AC occupying third spot.
