The Junior Girl's National Cross-Country Championships sponsored by Athletics Today took place at Cheltenham Racecourse.

Amanda Tremble (North Shields Polytechnic Club) took the individual title by 11 seconds from Nicola Slater (Radley Ladies) with Vicky Russell (Bedford & County AC) third.

In the team race Bedford & County AC beat North Shields Polytechnic Club by twenty points to take the title with GEC Avionics third.
