Newark Showgrounds hosted the under 15 girl's English National Cross-Country Championships.

Courtney Birch (Liverpool Pembroke & Sefton Harriers), the under 13 girl's winner in 1998, added another individual award to her national medal list with the under 15 girls title. Birch won by five seconds from Jessica Nugent (Shaftesbury Barnet Harriers) with Charlotte Wickham (Gateshead Harriers) third.

Sale Harriers easily won the team title from Bedford & County AC with Bristol AC third.
