The sixtieth Youth's English National Cross-Country Championships took place at Cofton Park in Birmingham. The course was 6km of undulating parkland and was expected to be a good test for cross-country runners.
Adam Hickey (Southend Harriers & AC) won by 28 seconds from Kevin Deighton (Bridlington Road Runners) with Lee Carey (Nuneaton Harriers) a further nine seconds back in third.
