Parliament Hill Fields, Hampstead Heath, London was used for the running of the Junior Women's National Cross-Country Championships. The course was 5km and the event was sponsored once again by Saucony.
Jessica Sparke (Woodford Green & Essex Ladies) and Nicola Sykes (Bedford & County) took control of the race in the opening stages.
Danielle Sale (Orion Harriers) passed Sparke towards the end of the race to take victory in 19:32, 4 seconds clear of Sparke with Laura O'Dell (Ipswich Harriers) in third. After her win Danielle Sale told Athletics Weekly: "I've not been running well this year so I'm over the moon, my asthma has not been too good. I was just hoping to keep hold of the leading group."
