The sixty-first running of the Youth's English National Cross-Country Championships took place at Parliament Hill Fields, Hampstead Heath, London. The event was sponsored for the fourth year on the run by Saucony. Since first putting on the race in 1957 Parliament Hill Fields had hosted the most 'Nationals' with nine.
Lee Carey (Nuneaton Harriers) made a bid for the individual title surging with one kilometre to go. Carey held off a challenge by Ryan Stevenson (New Marske Harriers) to win by six seconds with Alex Derricott (City of Stoke-on-Trent AC) third.
