Herrington Country Park in Sunderland hosted the Under 15 Girl's English National Cross-Country Championships. The park was built on the site of a former colliery and is located adjacent to Penshaw Monument. The event sponsors were Saucony.
Laura Park (Ellenborough AC) won by six seconds from Camilla Freeman (Bodyworks XTC Tri RC) with Beth Carter (Invicta East Kent AC) third.
