Parliament Hill Fields, London on Saturday 21/02/2009 5 Km (Under 17 Women)

The Under 17 Women's English National Cross-Country Championships returned to Parliament Hill Fields in London. Saucony were once again the race sponsors.

Louise Small (Aldershot, Farnham & District AC) beat Kate Avery (Shildon Running & AC) by 5 seconds with defending champion Laura Park (Kendal AAC) third.

Small told Athletics Weekly "I really wanted that so badly, so I'm very pleased. I worked hard up the last hill and then really gunned it back down to the finish."

Aldershot, Farnham & District AC won team gold by 57 points from Vale Royal AC with Tonbridge AC a further 42 points back
