The English National Cross-Country Championships returned to Parliament Hill Fields in London for the sixty-fourth edition of the youth's race. Saucony were once again the race sponsors. The course was 6km in length.
Jonny Hay (Aldershot, Farnham & District AC) took the lead with 2km of the race to run and Hay went on to win by 17 seconds from Richard Goodman (Shaftesbury Barnet Harriers). Danny Schofield (Scarborough Harriers) just outsprinted Sam Stabler (Oadby & Wigston Legionnaires AC) for third.
Hay told Athletics Weekly: "I love this course and have run here many times before, I felt good out there and relaxed."
