The Junior Women's National Cross-Country returned to Herrington Park, Sunderland, the race was last at the site of the former colliery in 2007.
A blizzard hit the northeast of England on the day of the race and runners and organisers arrived to find Herrington Country Park covered in three inches of snow.
Emelia Gorecka (Aldershot, Farnham & District AC) won a magnificent seventh consecutive individual title with a 26 second victory over Jenny Walsh (Spenborough & District AC) with Rebecca Watson (Invicta East Kent AC) in third.

Gorecka won her first individual title as an under-13 in Sunderland in 2007 and she told Athletics Weekly: "It's really special to come back and do it again on my seventh time, it's great to come back to the place it all started." Talking about the race, Gorecka added: "The ground was slushy and not hard like Budapest [European Cross] in December. So it was more a case of relaxing in the first lap and then opening up. The move was not decisive, it was more gradual."
