Herrington Park on Saturday 23/02/2013 3 Km (Under 13 Girls)

The Under 13 Girl's English National Cross-Country Championships took place at Herrington Park, Sunderland. This was the second time that the former colliery had hosted the race after a visit in 2007.

A blizzard hit the northeast of England on the day of the race and runners and organisers arrived to find Herrington Country Park covered in three inches of snow.

Katy-Ann McDonald (Herne Hill Harriers) won the individual title by four seconds from Amelia Lancaster (City of Sheffield AC) with Jordan Waine (Leicester Coritanian AC) third.

McDonald picked up double gold as she led her club to the team title by 76 points from Sale Harriers. Aldershot, Farnham & District AC picked up bronze medals.
