The Junior Women's Cross-Country Championships took place at Wollaton Park in Nottingham, the park last hosted the National in 2014.
Harriet Knowles-Jones (Warrington AC) and the previous year's runner-up and Southern champion Gemma Holloway (Thurrock Harriers) were at the front at the halfway stage. As the second half unfolded Knowles-Jones made her break and continued to put distance between herself and Holloway to win in 22:03 with Holloway second 45 seconds adrift and Phillippa Stone (Middlesbrough AC - Mandale) third.
Knowles-Jones told Athletics Weekly: "I felt much better this year and strong when I picked the pace up. It was a good course."
