Wollaton Park on Saturday 25/02/2017 5 Km (Under 17 Women)

The Under 17 Women's English National Cross-Country Championships took place at Wollaton Park, Nottingham. The venue was previously used for the National in 2014 and the course was slightly different using one small lap and one medium lap making a total of 5km with the start and finish straights.

Amelia Quirk (Bracknell AC) won the individual race by seven seconds from Phoebe Barker (Tonbridge AC) with Alex Brown (Herne Hill Harriers) third.

Quirk told Athletics Weekly "I had to keep surging to get away but I felt strong. I really enjoyed the course."

Blackheath & Bromley Harriers AC tied on points with Herne Hill Harriers in the team race with Blackheath taking the title due to having their fourth counter in 49th place compared to Herne Hill's 67th. Aldershot, Farnham & District AC took home bronze medals.
