The seventy-second running of the Youth's English National Cross-Country Championships took place at Wollaton Park, Nottingham. The venue was previously used for the National in 2014 and the course was slightly different using one small lap and one large lap making a total of 6km with the start and finish straights.
In a close finish James Puxty (Tonbridge AC) beat Lachlan Wellington (Portsmouth AC) with George Groom (Shaftesbury Barnet Harriers) third.
Puxty told Athletics Weekly: "I had aimed to peak for the National and I worked so hard for this, I sat in and then with 800m to go, I gave everything."
