The nintieth Senior Women's English National Cross-Country Championships took place at Bolesworth Castle, Chester. The event was sponsored by Saucony.
Sarah Astin (Belgrave Harriers) battled for much of the race with Gemma Steel (Charnwood AC), Astin eventually prevailed and Niamh Bridson-Hubbard (Blackheath & Bromley Harriers) took third.

Steel had some consolation as she led her club to the team title ahead of Aldershot, Farnham & District AC with Hallamshire Harries third.
