The championships had to be rescheduled from February due to excessive flooding in the car parks. Derby AC teammates Hugo Milner and Ben Connor battled it out at the head of the field in the 136th Senior Men's championships. On the second of the three laps Milner pulled away and went on to win by 25 seconds, Connor held on for second and third place went to defending champion James Kingston (Tonbridge AC). After the race Milner told the ECCA "I've always wanted this title, it's really important to me and I've dreamed of it since winning a silver medal in the U13s years ago."
