The tenth Junior English Cross-Country Championships took place at Parliament Hill Fields in London. The course had been cut up considerably by the youth's and senior's race. Gerry North (Blackpool & Fylde Harriers) won by over a minute from Laurence Reed (South London Harriers) who was second for most of the race. Jim Anderson (Saltwell Harriers) came in third.
