The Under 13 Girl's English National Cross-Country Championships took place at Harewood House in Leeds. This was the first time the 'National' had been held at Harewood and the race took place on grounds landscaped by Lancelot 'Capability' Brown in the 1770s.
Scarlett Livingstone (Exeter Harriers) led Midlands champion Zoe Gilbody (Wolverhampton & Bilston AC) by two seconds at the halfway stage, Livingstone increased this to six second by the finish line. Gilbody just managed to head off the challenge of Abigail Reid (Woodford Green & Essex Ladies) to take silver.
